my enemy has no name

other than SKUNK! And this evening, I realized that there are at least two of them digging around my garden and in my containers. Scouring the internet for advice has so far only brought about the suggestion of sprinkling chili powder about.

In the meantime, I'm accepting name suggestions for the little buggers.

Comment away on all accounts.

  2. Skunks, regardless of their names, can be buggers in your garden and containers. They root around looking for worms etc. Try to find some "Repels-All" animal repellent granules. Sprinkle it around but not on your plants. Animal repellents work through odor, taste and irritation of the target animal. Won't hurt them but makes them go away.

  3. Kate,
This is the 1st time I've looked at your blog. It is cool. Me gusta! I know I am replying to a 2-wk-old post, BUT... I read somewhere awhile ago that red pepper flakes sprinkled in the garden will keep pesky animals away. (I was looking up ways to get rid of cats; they were pooping in my flower beds; ugh.) Animals hate the red pepper flakes (too spicy for them, apparently). Hope you can get rid of your skunk!
