I splurged

And bought myself these pajama pants... er... writing pants.  They're supposed to make my script amazing.  Wink-wink, nod-nod.
Anthropologie of course.

writing rooms

Working at the studio office today and am dreaming of a real writing hideaway. Any of these would do just fine:

I *should* post photo credits, but I can't remember where I originally found these.

Retail Therapy

I've been a little down recently.  And yes I know that in the grand scheme of things I have no right or reason to be upset, but if I really need a reason you'll give me one.  That's well and good... but as is the case with just about every writer I've ever met, heard or read about it, I'm just facing one of those spells.  So there.  In addition I've had a fiercely unproductive day.  What does one do other than pop pills?  Online shopping.  Ta-da!  Without leaving my home, I can, with a little internet browsing, find something that will make me happy, order it all by myself without consulting anyone else, and have something to look forward to.
So I went to Fishs Eddy and made my first purchase there after spending a year admiring their products.  In a matter of days, these beautiful Italian wine glasses will arrive at my door.  When they come, I will sit on my rooftop and do the other thing most writers spend their time doing... drink!

I do hope you will excuse the indulgence...

But I just had to post a picture of the beautiful award I received (along with the other brilliant members of the writing staff) from the WGA last night.  It will live on the mantle for a week before it takes residence on my desk.
New succulents that I hope will take root.
Friday was so grey, rainy, and dreary, I bought myself this bunch of Star Gazer lilies to brighten the apartment.  I just adore how they bloom in succession.
Tomorrow I am off to work in a real office... so looking forward to it!

Envying Rural Living

Today I am making some progress and found this gorgeous tailgate picture while doing online research.  I'd love to live in the country and have an old (but operable) truck.Gardening update:  I know you've been concerned...  Carrots and beets have sprouted; lettuce is overrunning the downstairs bed; and my chives and mint fully bounced back.  Planted coriander and parsley seeds in the graveyard of the mature plants and hopefully marigolds will grow in the pots that formerly contained lavender and basil.  Photos soon!

A Productive Sunday?

Although I wish I could spend today like this sweet dog I saw at Porter Bass Winery, I have to get down to work.  More procrastination tomorrow!
